Papua New Guinea has a new law for associations. The Associations Incorporation Act 2023 was passed in 2023 and its supporting regulations commence on 1 July 2026, when the new regime takes effect. The Associations Incorporation Act 2023 replaces the 1966 Act. Every existing incorporated association must re-register to remain on the register.

Re-registration is free, online, and takes the place of your annual return for the first year.

To re-register, log in to your online registry client account, confirm or update your association's existing details, and provide the new information required under the Act, including your current committee members, any public officers, your business activities, and your association subtype.
